Alexis Nicole and Dushawn Jones are the passionate leaders behind Missions of Mercy and Grace Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to delivering emergency aid and essential support to financially disadvantaged neighborhoods, ex-offenders, communities affected by substance abuse, homelessness and underserved youth. Their commitment to philanthropic and charitable work is deeply personal— Alexis has experienced many obstacles including teenage pregnancy, incarceration, drug addiction and homelessness. Despite these struggles, it has shaped her into a compassionate advocate for others facing similar circumstances, demonstrating that healing and hope are possible.
Dushawn, too, has a powerful story of transformation. After enduring the difficulties of life on the streets as a runaway teen, being shot several times and surviving, he has turned his hardships into motivation for positive change. Through determination and support, he has rebuilt his life on the straight and narrow, serving as an inspiration to others from all walks of life.
Alexis and Dushawn exemplify strength, perseverance, resilience and the capacity for growth, reminding us that even in the face of adversity, change is achievable!
Together, they founded Missions of Mercy and Grace Inc. to provide immediate relief to struggling families, youth, ex-offenders and displaced individuals. Their programs offer critical assistance, including rent and utility support, food, clothing, hygiene kits, blankets, and other necessities. With a deep belief in second chances, dignity, and long-term recovery, Alexis and Dushawn continue to lead impactful initiatives that bring hope, stability, and empowerment to those in crisis.
